The Church Within is located in the heart of Historic Fountain Square on the south side of Downtown Indianapolis. Fountain Square is known for its arts and music culture, and the Church is active in both the visual and performing arts. To reflect this culture on the outside, the congregation determined that they would like to brighten the large brick walls facing the community. As inspiration, the chose a quote that is central to the church community: “We are all just walking each other home” by Ram Dass. Kris worked with the church members to come up with a design for two of the large walls, one that was just brick and the other that had a very old mural done by a girl scout troop many years ago. Church members were invited to help paint portions of the mural, building upon the community service that the church proudly engages in.
